School and nursery groups can visit us on Fridays during term time!
Opening Times
We are open on Fridays during term time (February – July only) to allow for school/nursery groups (as well as the general public) to visit during the week.
Opening times are 9:30am – 4:00pm
Prices
It’s really important to us that we provide school children with the opportunity to have genuine animal encounters and enjoy being outdoors! For this reason we offer our school trips at a discounted rate of only £180 per class (based on 30 children and 10 adults).
- Discounted rate for school and nursery groups (minimum 9 children).
- Complimentary entry for 1 adult per 3 children.
- Class Ticket (30 children + 10 adults) only £180 – that’s £6 per child plus 10 adults free of charge!
- Smaller groups (minimum 9 children), extra children or extra adults can be added at £6pp.
Staff Supervision
We ask that all school/nursery groups meet the recommended adult to child ratios when visiting the farm. More information can be found on the NSPCC website here.
With this in mind on Fridays during term time only, we allow complimentary entry for 1 adult per 3 children for school/nursery groups ONLY.
Lunch
Most school/nursery groups find it easiest to bring along a packed lunch if they are planning on eating at the farm, however we do have a small kiosk selling hot and cold drinks and some snacks (our kiosks accept cash payments only). We have lots of picnic benches that you are welcome to use.
Suitable Clothing
We are an outdoor attraction, therefore please ensure your whole group dress appropriately for the weather on the day.
Making A Booking
You can make an advance booking via our website booking system. Payment can be made by card. Alternatively we accept cash payments at the desk on the day. Please be aware, we do not have a card machine at the farm so if you would like to pay by card please do so via our website booking system.
Risk Assessment
We recommend that a member of your group completes a pre-visit prior to your group visit. This will enable you to familiarise yourself with the farm layout. To organise for a member of your staff to complete a pre-visit to the farm please email info@lancasterpark.co.uk. The link below takes you to our risk assessment, we have left several spaces at the end to allow you to adapt this to your requirements.
