CHANGES TO USUAL ACTIVITIES
You will find some changes to the way that we normally operate. We have staggered entry times every 30 minutes each day. We must be very strict on these times as it will allow us to control visitor numbers and complete our deep clean sufficiently. We will make an announcement 15 minutes before closing time to ask our visitors to start making their way towards the exit. We have implemented a one-way system which we are asking all of our visitors to adhere to. You may find that some of our usual activities are not taking place and some areas are closed. We are currently unable to allow our visitors to join in with the Tortoise Bath, and the Pig Pen is currently closed. Animal petting will take place in the Petting Barn from 10am – 3:30pm, visitors will need to queue to participate in this activity. Visitors will be required to wear a mask in our indoor area. We may have to limit the amount of time each group can spend in the petting area and there may be certain animals that we aren’t able to get out.
HEALTH AND HYGIENE
If you, or someone you have been in contact with, have experienced any of the following symptoms in the last 14 days, please DO NOT enter the farm: a recent onset of a new continuous cough, or high temperature, or a loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell. Please stay home and follow government guidance. If you or a member of your group become unwell with any of these symptoms during your time at the farm please tell a member of our staff immediately. Please have tissues to hand, if you need to cough or sneeze please do so into a tissue then throw the tissue in the bin, then wash your hands with soap and water immediately.
As well as our usual handwashing facilities we have added extra hand disinfecting facilities around the farm. We are asking all visitors to use these regularly. Please remember hand disinfectant does not replace handwashing with soap and water, and it is very important that visitors always wash their hands with soap and water after touching any animals and before eating, drinking or smoking. Avoid touching your face, eyes, nose and mouth with unclean hands.
Our toilet facilities will be open with limited capacity to enable social distancing. Our toilets are now unisex, and we ask that only one family bubble enter each toilet building at a time, so there may be a short wait to use the facilities. All of our washrooms will be cleaned thoroughly throughout the day for your safety.
